A Word About Cheeks Electric & Air Conditioning

Cheeks Electric & Air Conditioning was founded in 1946 by Clyde and Mary Ellen Cheeks. Initially it was an electrical contracting firm. The business was originally located at 405 Louisville Avenue in Monroe.

Early in the 1950's, Cheeks expanded into the air conditioning and heating business. In 1956, Mr. Cheeks moved the company to its present location on Crosley Street in West Monroe. One of the notable jobs in the early days of the company was the electrical wiring of the old Sears building on Louisville Avenue in Monroe in 1953.

In 1968, Victor Cheeks, Clyde's son, came to work for the company. In 1981 he took over as President and the business continues to grow under his leadership.

It was obvious from the start that quality and service would be the top priority.

That tradition continues today.
