This letter is to commend some of your employees and to express my appreciation for the courteous and rapid service rendered to us this week.

Yesterday, Tuesday, January 20 about 7:30am I discovered that my heating system was not working. My husband is an invalid, and even though the house was then at 70 degrees, he was already beginning to shiver. I called your company at 7:45 and explained my problem to the gentleman who answered the phone. He assured me someone would be there within the hour. Your serviceman arrived at 8:30, analyzed the problem, and told me that the parts would have to be ordered which would take possible two or three days. I asked about new equipment. He presented our options, assured me that you could install a new unit that day. We chose new equipment. He immediately called for backup, and shortly Billy and some others were here and working to install the unit. They also brought space heaters to supplement our fireplace and the one space heater we had.

Yesterday was a bitterly cold day, yet these men worked tirelessly to install the unit and have heat going by mid-afternoon.

I've called your company several times in the past few months for electrical service, small jobs, and you've had people here in a very short time.

In a day when service seems to be almost a thing of the past, I commend you and your men. And, I will tell my friends to call Cheek's!

After having quite a bit of construction work done on our home last year, I have to admit that I was less than happy when I discovered that we needed to replace both of our air conditioning units and all of the ductwork in the attic. I thought it was going to be a dusty, dirty, messy nightmare, but because of you and your employees I was wrong.

During the initial meeting with your sales engineer, I realized that I was dealing with a unique company. You were the third business that I had contacted, and were the only ones who didn't give me an immediate (and very general) estimate if the cost. You took the time to measure my house, inspect all of the vents and ductwork, and when I received the cost I was certain that I was dealing with professionals who took pride in doing a job correctly. I can't tell you just how impressed I was and how different his behavior was from all the other companies' representatives.

When the men came to begin work, they were very courteous and conscientious. They were respectful of my home, cleaned up as they went, and in the evenings they left everything as they had found it. I couldn't have been more pleased with your technicians or their professionalism.

I sincerely appreciate the extra time, effort, and care that your employees took in doing a job that I consider to be as close to flawless as possible.

We cannot begin to describe everything that comes to mind when thinking of Victor Cheeks and his excellent staff.

We must admit after the first estimate for replacing our 1958 antique boiler, water chiller and dual blower system, we couldn't believe a new HVAC system could be soooo... expensive.

After several months and numerous bids it came down to a matter of who to trust and we placed out trust in Victor Cheeks. He convinced us, with some reservations, that his expertise is second to none and the Carrier Infinity System is also second to none. He was absolutely correct in all things he said to us. If we had gone with him initially, instead of seeking other bids, time and money would have been saved!

We were convinced during the installation and after several weeks of a cool, quiet and comfortable home (with low humidity) that Cheeks and Carrier are the best combination available.

Victor, your help with the idea of creating "Art for the Park" from our antique equipment is greatly appreciated by us, the Northeast La. Arts Council, the artist for helping move his "raw materials" to safe storage for future use and we hope generations of children will someday enjoy those future "Robots".

Our special thanks to Billy and others who made sure the dogs never escaped and were so careful to protect our floors and walls. You made impossible looking task come together perfectly and always left the house neat and clean.

We are writing this letter to thank you and your staff for the help you gave us when our laundry caught on fire. From the lady who took our fiorst call to the men that you sent out to us on a Saturday evening to help in every way to get our power back on was to us exceptional. We cannot thank you enough.

Thank you, yet again, for saving our lives. I do not say that lightly. I am caring for my 87 year old mother, so when our air conditioning went out over the weekend you can imagine my concern.

8:00 a.m. Saturday morning we put in a call to your office. Someone returned our call right away. By 9:00 a.m. your technicians came out and made their diagnosis. We decided to put in a new unit because the old one was almost an antique. Shortly after 4:00 p.m. we had A/C. Thanks to Cheeks Electric & A/C we have another success story.

You are to be commended on your ability to hire the right people. On top of being expert technicians, they are courteous and always put their customers comfort first. On a 2004 service call one technician worked until midnight in the heat and with mosquitoes eating him. He wouldn't even take time to have something cool to drink. That is dedication above and beyond the call of duty.

I would also like to compliment you on your advertising. It is the epitome of honesty and ethics. It is good to know that you have never succumbed to the questionable advertising that some use on a regular basis just for the sake of the almighty dollar.

Having spent 24 years working at the Better Business Bureau, I have been privy to the records of area businesses. I know there are many good businesses in Monroe and West Monroe. I also feel qualified to say that if I were asked to pick the Top Ten businesses here, Cheeks Electric would be high up in that enviable group.

Came to my home on a Holiday weekend to fix a problem left by another company. This company takes care of their customers.

Cheeks is the best contractor I have ever had. I recently had some work done because my house was hit by lightning & had the world's worst people rewiring the house. Billy & his workers should teach others in the business as they are the epitome of professionalism.

I wish all of the companies I have to deal with in m life were this good! I could not ask for any better service!

This is not the first time I've dealt with Cheek's Electric, but have done so several times since 1967, beginning with Mr. Clyde Cheek, and continuing with Victor Cheek. Their equipment and service has always been good.
